The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that they were called to the 1400 block of Jack Pine Way around 1:45am Sunday, after a citizen saw someone shooting a handgun several times in a parking lot, before entering a residence.
The Battle Creek Police Department says Sunday afternoon that they have determined 22-year-old Joseph Bowser was killed by a single gunshot wound to his head, sometime Friday night or early Saturday.
Firefighters from several agencies were called to the grass fire near I-94 and Beadle Lake Rd. around 2:30pm Monday; around 7pm a firefighter from Athens accidentally shot himself, causing a gunshot wound to his groin area.
A Bedford Township man has now been arrested after a series of crimes allegedly stemming from a failed attempt to pay for sex. Authorities say that the 29-year-old suspect met up with the victims, one male and one female, at the Romantix Adult Store on Michigan Avenue.
