Texas Township Man Accused of Murder Enters Plea

A Kalamazoo County man has pleaded no contest to a second degree murder charge in the death of his ex-wife last year.

75-year-old Jimmy Thrasher of Texas Township is accused of fatally shooting Grace Thrasher during a struggle inside their home.

The plea was entered on Tuesday in a Kalamazoo Court.  Thrasher has been in the county jail since he was arrested in May of last year.

While a no contest plea is not an admission of guilt, it is treated as one for sentencing.

Thrasher faces life in prison at his sentencing in February.
