The city of Detroit has reached a compromise with activists, over the clearing of five blighted houses. The Associated Press reports that the compromise was reached after a protester sat on a roof. The houses on Detroit’s west side have been scheduled for demolition. Aaron Timlin wants the houses to remain. He sat on a roof on Tuesday before the deal was reached. The city is giving activists two weeks to come up with a plan.
