The battle of protection and anti-transparency is certainly heating up.

Now the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) have officially stated that they do not want the memo released, why:

With regard to the House Intelligence Committee’s memorandum, the FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it…As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.

Interesting due to the fact that the FBI and DOJ first stated that the reason they were concerned about releasing the memo was due to sources and methods. Now it appears that they have changed their minds and are concerned about “material omissions” saying basically that it would be material embarrassing to us.

This reminds me of a Shakespeare play, Hamlet, in which one of the characters says “The lady doth protest too much, methinks”.

What sources and methods could be omitted for an internal investigation in the United States that they are concerned about, we are not talking about an investigation outside of the United States?  Are we just supposed to trust the most powerful police agency in the United States?  This excuse could be used for any police investigation, could it not?

Do you believe the FBI and DOJ doth protest too much?

Now I really want to see what is in the memo, as well as the memo created by the Democrats after it goes through the proper vetting just like the Republican memo went through.

As a side not it appears that California Democrat Congressmen Adam Schiff might be trying to pull a fast one on the American people in conjunction with the main stream manipulative news.

Kentucky Republican Congressmen Thomas Massie told The Daily Caller yesterday that the Democratic House Intelligence memo, authored by Schiff, will remain concealed because it “discloses sources and methods that can’t be released.”

His full quote from the Daily Caller article is:

They’ve already reciprocated with their own memo, which I’ve already read today, and it’s talking past the Republicans, it makes statements that are probably true, but doesn’t really dispute the statements in the Republican memo, and I don’t think the Democrat memo is going to get released… The reason why it’s not going to get released is the Democrat memo is about three times longer than the Republican one and theirs discloses sources and methods that can’t be released

Now back to the objection from the FBI and DOJ concerning the release of the memo.

In response to the FBI, DOJ Objections to Release of HPSCI Memo

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement today:

Having stonewalled Congress’ demands for information for nearly a year, it’s no surprise to see the FBI and DOJ issue spurious objections to allowing the American people to see information related to surveillance abuses at these agencies. The FBI is intimately familiar with ‘material omissions’ with respect to their presentations to both Congress and the courts, and they are welcome to make public, to the greatest extent possible, all the information they have on these abuses. Regardless, it’s clear that top officials used unverified information in a court document to fuel a counter-intelligence investigation during an American political campaign. Once the truth gets out, we can begin taking steps to ensure our intelligence agencies and courts are never misused like this again.

Sound like to me that they are very worried about the reputation of the FBI and DOJ and some of their top brass in their agencies.

Do you still want the memo released as well as the source documents on which the conclusions of the memos were made?

I do.
