Three Killed In Ambulance Crash

Three people were killed in Battle Creek this morning when an ambulance was hit by car that went through a stop light on North Avenue.

The ambulance was rushing a patient to the hospital with its lights and sirens on when a passenger car failed to stop at the intersection with Garfield.

A man and woman in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.  The patient in the ambulance died moments after arriving at the hospital.

Police say speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash.
