Three High School students from Union City were injured late Monday morning after a two car crash in Calhoun County.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that around 11am Monday, the students were in a car heading southbound on Six-Mile Rd. in Athens Township, when a car taking a left turn at the crest of a hill collided with them.

Michigan State Police investigators say that speed was a factor in the crash.

The driver of the turning car suffered minor injuries, while two of the teens were taken to Bronson Kalamazoo by ambulance and a third had to be airlifted.

Their conditions aren’t known at this time.
