Tigers’ Cabrera out of Walking Boot

Miguel Cabrera is out of his walking boot and wearing regular shoes, but probably won’t be ready for Spring Training.  He’ll have another evaluation in February, and could be cleared to start workouts.

Detroit Tigers pitcher Luke Putkonen cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Toledo. The move comes as the Tigers make room on the roster for lefty Tom Gorzelanny.

Former Detroit outfielder Andy Dirks has signed a minor league deal with the Toronto Blue Jays.
