The Tigers beat the Royals 4-1 Thursday night in Kansas City to end their losing streak at 9.  Lefty Daniel Norris looked sharp in his final start of 2017, going five innings and giving up just two hits, and no runs or walks. He finishes at 5-8 and a 5.31 ERA.  The game was scoreless until the 5th, when Jacoby Jones drove in Andrew Romine for a 1-0 Tiger lead.  Nick Castellanos did most of the hitting for the Tigers again, going 2 for 4 and knocking in three runs.  Warwick Saupold gave up the only run of the night, as Paulo Orlando homered for the second straight night.  The Tigers will play their final three games of the season in Minnesota this weekend.   Matt Boyd starts for the Tigers tonight.  Boyd is 6-10, but has been the Tigers’ best pitcher in September.   Hear the game after High School Football on 95.3 WBCK.
