It was a beautiful night for baseball in downtown Detroit, Wednesday and the Tigers topped-off the evening with a 10-0 shut-out over the Pittsburgh Pirates, allowing only one hit.

Ian Kinsler began the evening by scoring on a single by Nicholas Castellanos. The Tigers continued to score in the 2nd with Hicks crossing the plate and Kinsler coming home, once again, on a homer which he struck to left-field and raising the score to 3-0.

The Pirate's failed to rally and Tiger’s roared in the 7th when Castellanos tripled to deep right-center, bringing Kinsler, Adduci and Cabrera in to score, making it a 6-0 game.

Detroit cleared the bases again, in the 8th inning, when Kinsler doubled to deep center allowing Hicks, Romine and Iglesias to cross home plate. Castellanos singled to left, bringing in Kinsler and pushing the score to 10-0.

Pittsburgh bats remained cool in the 9th, giving the Detroit Tigers a 10-0 win.

The two teams face each other again Thursday afternoon at 12:45 PM on 95.3 WBCK.
