Ahead of his visit to Battle Creek this week, anti-domestic violence activist Tony Porter spoke with us about his mission to help men - especially those with influence over young men and boys - to recognize their role in stemming domestic violence in our society.

Porter, co-founder of the organization A Call To Men, spends his time lecturing and educating men about how they can influence change in the way women are treated, thus affecting a fight against domestic violence.

Porter will participate in a breakfast session Wednesday, November 6 at Firekeepers Casino Hotel, as well as a morning seminar on Thursday, November 7 at Firekeepers. The event is hosted by the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Coordinating Council. To check on available space, contact Sara at 269-245-3925.
