MLive Chief Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa tells The Richard Piet Show on WBCK that he expects temperatures to fluctuate over the next few weeks, based on what he is seeing in the most recent computer models.

The National Weather Service forecast continues to call for subzero temperatures for the remainder of the week, with wind chill estimates below zero much of the time.

"It looks like, going forward for the next month or so, we're going to have a week on of cold - a week off - a week on," Torregrossa said.

He also discussed advancements in weather forecasting, even when it comes to predicting snowfall amounts for lake effect systems.
