A traffic stop arrest led to the discovery of cocaine and a stolen firearm.

Around 11:30pm Tuesday, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man during a traffic stop when the driver was found to have outstanding warrants.  At the Calhoun County Jail, the man was found to have cocaine on his person, that he had initially hidden from arresting deputies.

With that evidence and other info, Deputies later searched a home in the 100 block of Redner in Battle Creek, and obtained permission from the homeowner to conduct a search.  Inside the house a firearm was found, which was discovered to have been reported stolen from Battle Creek in 2014.

Charges will likely be coming as the investigation continues.
