The rescue of Twinkies from near-death last year does not mean the sweet, cream-filled cakes from our childhood are the top seller among snack cakes. In fact, one of the four facilities where Twinkies are made is expected to close. CNN reported on it this week:

It's an interesting twist, considering the outcry when Twinkies were pulled from store shelves in an abrupt halt to their production last year. An 11th hour save brought them back to store shelves, but we still are not buying enough of them to keep all four production facilities open.

Some things withstand the test of time - others not, apparently. Do you buy Twinkies? Does it hit your nostalgia button enough to start buying them in an attempt to help save them?
