Two Battle Creek men are in jail after they allegedly broke into a home and committed armed robbery.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that around 3am Thursday, two men broke into a home on Baughman Ct. in Bedford Township. They then allegedly tied up the two female residents, and robbed them at knifepoint, before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

Investigators were able to identify the suspects, and track them down to a hotel in the area around 30 minutes later; one was hiding out in the laundry room. The two men were arrested on multiple felony charges including home invasion, armed robbery and kidnapping, and lodged at the Calhoun County jail.

The BCPD says that an accomplice has also been identified, but it’s not known if they will face charges as well.

The two victims were treated at Bronson Battle Creek, one for a possible broken ankle suffered in the robbery.
