Two Arrested In Battle Creek After Stealing Construction Equipment

Two people were arrested late Tuesday night in Battle Creek after they were caught red-handed in a theft.

Around 11pm Tuesday, a Battle Creek Police Officer saw a suspicious vehicle behind a business in the 1600 block of W. Michigan Avenue. The officer noticed that the suspects were stealing construction supplies, and moved to action.

The theft was stopped and property was recovered, and the two suspects were arrested on larceny charges. A marijuana charge is also expected for one male suspect.

The suspects are now lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
