Sheriff’s Deputies say they made two arrests following a hit and run crash in Springfield Monday.  Investigators say the crash happened at around 10:20 in the morning at the intersection of Goguac and 21st Street.  Deputies say a Springfield man was driving recklessly and crashed into an oncoming car driven by a 64-year-old woman.  The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.  Deputies say the at-fault driver ran away and hid in a basement while a woman who had been in the car with him gave investigators a false identity for the driver.  The man was found in the basement on 21st Street and arrested and the woman was taken to the County Jail for furnishing false information to law enforcement.
