Two brothers accused in a drive-by shooting are in custody and one has been arraigned. The other is expected in court today. 23-year-old Felipe Hernandez, of Battle Creek was arraigned in Calhoun County District Court on charges of assault with intent to murder and felony firearm. 29-year-old Ruben Hernandez reportedly surrendered to Battle Creek police and after questioning was taken to the Calhoun County jail on a charge of assault with intent to murder and felony firearm. He is expected to appear this afternoon for arraignment.

The charges are related to the shooting of 34-year-old William Jones of Battle Creek who was seriously injured Monday evening in the incident that started at a gas station in Emmett Township before the shots were fired from a car near a home in the 200 block of Kingman Road. Jones was shot once in the lower abdomen by someone firing from a passing car after a fight involving the brothers and his girlfriend.
