Two Injured in Battle Creek Crash

Two people suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision in Battle Creek this morning.  Police say the crash happened near the intersection of Capital Avenue Northeast and Convis shortly after 9am.  Investigators say a 37-year-old Bellevue woman driving an SUV at high speed suddenly crossed the centerline and hit an oncoming truck head-on.  The woman and the driver of the truck, a 21-year-old Battle Creek man, were both pinned in the wreckage and had to be cut out by the Battle Creek fire Department.  The victims were sent to hospitals in Kalamazoo for treatment.
