Three people were arrested late last night in Pennfield on various charges.

Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over a car at the corner of Emmett and East Avenue around 11:20pm Thursday.

The deputies noticed the smell of marijuana, and began a vehicle search.  Inside, they found cocaine, marijuana and heroin.

A 27-year-old male was arrested on Possession with intent charges, a 26-year-old male on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and concealed carrying, and a 25-year-old female on charges of resisting and obstructing.

A three year old child was also in the car, and was turned over to a family member.

The Three suspects were lodged at the Calhoun County Jail pending arraignment.


In a completely unrelated incident, deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people during a drug bust yesterday.

The deputies executed the search warrant in the 8000 block of Bellevue Road, finding meth making components and stolen property.

A 62-year-old man was arrested for meth component possession, a 38-year-old man on possession of meth charges, and a 28-year-old female on several outstanding warrants.

All three were lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
