Two Shot In Battle Creek

A car, traveling down Kendall Street, in Battle Creek, was the target of gunfire, Friday evening.

The Battle Creek Police responded to the area of Kendall Street and Parkway Drive, at approximately 8:15 PM., Friday evening, finding a 22-year-old male who had been shot in the torso and a 22-year-old female who had been shot in the arm by a person in a passing car.

The male victim was the driver of the targeted car and the female victim was a backseat passenger.

The initial investigation has revealed that a verbal dispute occurred first at Michigan and Kendall Street. One vehicle left that area and was later shot at by a passing car at Kendall Street and Parkway Drive.

Both victims were hospitalized and are in stable condition.
