Several Battle Creek roads, parks and locations are closed through Friday due to flooding.

The City of Battle Creek says that Friday morning. Union Street just north of Ivanhoe was closed, due to floods. Crews say that a storm sewer is backed up with water from the Battle Creek River. The storm sewer itself is clear, so the situation remains under monitoring.

Drivers are asked to take a detrour using Shepard, Pine, and Hoag Streets.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says Friday that Historic Bridge Park on Wattles Rd. is barricaded off and closed, due to the high waters. The Office says that the hope is the waters will begin to recede.

Elsewhere, The Linear Path between Divison St. and Elm St. remains closed, as does the ANYbodies Playground at Bailey Park. The Skywarn weather spotter training that was set to take place in Battle creek on Saturday has also been cancelled.
