A woman was arrested for operating while impaired after emergency crews arrived on site to a roll over car crash that involved two children ages 3 and 6.

According to an article from WWMT,  the Van Buren County Sherriff Office responded to an accident scene, later in the evening on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The 23-year-old woman who was driving had lost control of the vehicle and rolled it several times.

There were also two young children in the vehicle that were not properly buckled or seated in car seats. This lead to minor injuries from the roll over crash. The driver did admit to drinking and has been apprehended for this, as she also smelled strongly of intoxicants.

The case is continuing to be examined through the prosecutor's office.
