Fruit experts and growers in Michigan are concerned about this year’s crop, given the recent warm weather. According to the Associated Press and Michigan State University Extension Service fruit educator Mark Longstroth, it could be a problem if fruit trees and bushes get their buds too early. Longstroth says that if warm temperatures continue, buds could start waking up, causing a problem for the region’s peach trees and apricot orchards.
