Some valve work in Battle Creek Monday will mean a shut-off for some residents.  Here is the information from the city's press release:

 

Water valve work to cause shutoffs along Michigan Avenue

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The Water Division will replace a valve on Monday, May 11, making necessary a water shutoff from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the following areas:

 

·         Michigan Avenue from Hubbard Street to Jordan Street

·         Jackson Street from Angell Street to Wood Street

·         Thorne Street from Michigan to Jackson

 

The valve replacement is in preparation for planned street resurfacing.

 

Residents in this area should be prepared for a boil water advisory. Additional information will be made available through the media and on the city’s website, www.battlecreekmi.gov, under Water System Information on the home page.

 

The shutoff time and area may change or expand if crews encounter unforeseen circumstances.
