Westbound Territorial Rd. In Battle Creek Closed Wednesday

A main road in Battle Creek will be closed Wednesday, May 31 so work can take place on the water main.

The City of Battle Creek says that starting at 8am Wednesday, westbound Territorial Rd. from 26th St. will be completely closed. Officials ask that motorists take alternate routes as they wont be able to get through.

This closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of a problematic water main, as part of the City's project to revamp the water systems on the numbered streets this summer. Besides the water main replacement, the street and curbing will be replaced as well.

The work should be finished by the end of the day.
