Tuesday, August 5 is the next chance voters will have to cast a ballot, as the Michigan Primary will help shape races for the general election, as well as decide on Proposal 1. Some precincts will also have other proposals or school-related decisions.

Among the things you will need to know to vote on Tuesday:

  • Voters will need to have already been registered.
  • Voters can vote for a candidate in any party, but cannot mix their ballots by voting in more than one party.
  • Precinct delegates will also be on the ballot. Winners will participate in the county convention on August 14, and the state convention thereafter.
