Whose Fault is it if You’re Poor?
The other day multi-millionaire California Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters was attempting to scold the new Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson in a speech at the Essence Festival in New Orleans.
Thehill.com reported she stated the following:
“[Carson] knows nothing about the mission of HUD. He doesn’t care about people in public housing. He believes that if you are poor, it is your own fault.”
I think it is fair to state that Ms. Waters is implying that it is someone else’s fault if you are poor.
Let me ask you, if you are poor and healthy, whose fault is it exactly?
I am not attempting to cast aspersions on anyone, I am simply asking a question. If you are poor and healthy, whose fault is it.
Could it be from the decisions you made during your life or as Ms. Waters is implying, it is someone else's fault?
