Paw Paw…the town so nice, they named it twice! It's the place to be today, as the Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival winds up.

I'll be playing there from 1 to 4:30 p.m. with my band, "The Kalamazoo Big Band."

We've been playing the festival for more than 30 years, going back to when it was in Kalamazoo's Bronson Park.

The band will feature some of Michigan's top players, including pianist Terry Lower, drummer Larry Ochiltree, and vocalist Edye Evans-Hyde.   Those three were heard playing at Clara's on the River over the summer. Also in the band is guitarist Mike Hyde and special guest bassist Paul Keller. Come and check us out as we play everything from Glenn Miller to Motown, Blood Sweat and Tears, Chicago, Tower of Power, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman and more!

Paul Keller and I have even crafted a couple of special arrangements for the gig!
