With the promise of a wintry mix on Tuesday, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 7am to 8pm Tuesday. Images on radar as early at 4am were already showing some mixed precipitation reaching the area, though it may not have been reaching the ground in all areas.

The forecast suggests that even though the advisory will expire at 8pm, potential for snow and/or drizzle could continue as late as midnight Tuesday night.

In the Battle Creek area, the NWS indicates the potential for 0.1" of ice accumulation, along with snow and sleet accumulation of about 1" initially before temperatures rise during the day.

Tune in to The Richard Piet Show Tuesday morning for updates on the forecast and road conditions, as potential for slippery roads exists. Weather updates can be heard throughout the day on WBCK.
