A winter mix remains in the area with the potentially hardest his areas north of Battle Creek.

The National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for Calhoun, Kalamazoo and Jackson counties until 4am Tuesday morning. A mixture of sleet and freezing rain will continue into tonight. Temperatures will rise during the overnight, but rain will continue. Expect a tenth to a quarter-inch of ice accumulation possible during this period. We will also see 20-to-30 mile-per-hour winds from the east that could gust up to 40 mph at times.

Barry and Eaton counties are under a Winter Storm Warning until 6am Tuesday morning. Much of the same will be seen, with the potential of ice accumulation totaling up to a half inch.

Branch and St. Joseph counties are under a Freezing Rain Advisory until 7pm tonight. They will also be under a Wind Advisory until 10pm tonight.
