After a week of relatively quiet forecasts predicting little snowfall for Calhoun and neighboring counties, The National Weather Service forecast is now calling for measurable snow on Saturday.

The lake effect is expected to kick up, dropping more snow closer to the lakeshore. Still, as of 4:30am Friday, the weather service issued a Winter Storm Watch for Kalamazoo County calling for 3-5" of snow between 1am and 7pm Saturday. The potential for a similar watch to be issued for Calhoun County exists, as forecasters monitor conditions throughout the day Friday.
