Western Michigan University officials have announced new details on their plan to renovate the old East Hall building.  East Hall is where the school started and has been the focus of an argument over preservation on the University campus.  Several other older buildings are being torn down but some of East Hall was slated for renovation, but how much of it would be saved was undecided.  WMU administrators now say both wings will be torn down, but the central core of the building will be retained for the renovation into a new alumni center.
