It has been 8 weeks of the college football season and looks like The Western Michigan Broncos will have to finish out their regular season without their starting quarterback.

According to the story from M-LiveBroncos coach Tim Lester said during a recent press conference that Bronco starter, Jon Wassink broke his collarbone.   The injury happened during the Broncos win against Eastern Michigan.

He will miss the rest of the regular season.  The timetable for his return could mean a possible return for a bowl game if the game happens to be later in the bowl schedule.

Freshman Reece Goddard, who took over in the Eastern Michigan win, will now be the starter for the Broncos.

The Broncos are currently 5-3 on the season with a MAC record of 3-1.  They will next host Central Michigan on Wednesday night, November 1st.
