Woman Accused of Murdering Step-Mother

A 20 year-old Kalamazoo woman has been arraigned on a charge of Open Murder in the death of her step-mother.

Olivia Berry is accused of stabbing her 23 year-old step-mother shortly after midnight Tuesday in the 1000 block of Interfaith Boulevard. The unidentified woman had been stabbed multiple times and was transported to Bronson hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Berry was denied bond and currently lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
