Woman Assaulted In Battle Creek

A woman was assaulted, Friday afternoon, in Battle Creek.

Battle Creek Police responded to the 600 Block of Oakbrook Boulevard at approximately 3:30 PM., where they found a woman with injuries to the head and neck.

After learning the identity of the assailant, police were able to arrest the suspect within minutes.

The victim was transported to Bronson Hospital, in Kalamazoo, for treatment of her injuries.

The suspect was lodged in the Calhoun County Jail on a charge of assault with intent to murder and the investigation continues.
