Woman Hurt After Swerving to Avoid Deer

A Charlotte woman was hurt this weekend when she swerved her car to avoid hitting a deer.

It happened just after 6:30 in the morning Sunday on Junction Road near Q Drive North.  Sheriff’s Deputies say the woman was driving South on Junction when she saw the deer and ran off the road and into an embankment.

The 43-year-old was ejected from the vehicle in the crash and was taken to Bronson-Kalamazoo for treatment.  Doctors say she is expected to survive.
