Young Girl Found Stabbed, Older Sister in Custody

Emmett Township Police are investigating after a girl was found stabbed this morning.

Police responded to the Triangle Trailer Park at around 5:40 where they found a 9-year-old girl with multiple stab wounds to the face, neck and chest.  The child was taken to the hospital in Kalamazoo where Doctors say she is expected to survive.

Police believe the attacker was the girl’s 12-year-old sister.  The older girl was taken to the Juvenile Facility in Marshall while the investigation continues.
