18-Year-Old Busted Breaking Into Cars In Battle Creek

A Battle Creek teen is behind bars this morning, after being caught with things stolen from area cars Tuesday night.

Battle Creek Police Officers were called to the 100 block of Doverdale Dr. around 11pm Tuesday night, after reports of a man breaking into vehicles.  Police spotted the suspect when they arrived but he fled on foot.

After a K-9 unit was brought in, the 18-year-old suspect was located and arrested.  On his person, most of the stolen property was recovered.

The teen is now lodged at the Calhoun County Jail for larceny and resisting arrest.
