A driver has now died, a week and a half after their car rolled over in Calhoun County.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says Friday that the accident took place on November 4, on M-60 near 10 ½ Mile Rd. in Burlington Township; deputies found a vehicle that had flipped over several times and landed on its side in a field, with the driver thrown from the vehicle. The 83-year-old Jackson man was taken to Bronson Kalamazoo with life threatening injuries, and died this Wednesday due to his injuries.

The Calhoun County Accident Reconstruction team is still investigating, with authorities saying it appears a lack of seat belt use and use of alcohol were contributors to this death.
