We all know that 'Home Improvement' was based in Michigan, right? Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor and his family lived in the suburbs of Detroit and Tim Allen proudly wore sweatshirts from colleges and universities here in Michigan as a way of paying homage to his home state.

But how about 'Low Winter Sun,' 'Detroit 1-8-7,' and 'The Incredible Dr. Pol?' We decided to shine the spotlight on more than two dozen other TV shows that were set right here in Michigan.

Of course, Detroit gets lots of screen time, but there's also love for Flint, Battle Creek, Royal Oak, and even a couple of fictitious towns like Elk Grove and Chippewa, Michigan, which you won't find on any map. (Sorry to our Yooper friends. We didn't find any shows that were set in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula.)
