LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Well, someone really blew it.

Michigan officials say no one stepped forward Wednesday with a winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket from a year ago. The deadline was 4:45 p.m. The money will now go to the school aid fund.

The ticket was sold in Grand Rapids at the CVS Pharmacy on 28th Street. The winner matched the first five numbers drawn in the Mega Millions game on Aug. 5, 2014.

It's not the largest prize to go unclaimed. In 1998, someone failed to turn in a $34 million ticket, which was sold in the Lansing area.
