A Hail Of Bullets In Battle Creek

Police responded to gunfire, in a Battle Creek neighborhood, Saturday evening.

Battle Creek Police Officers were on patrol in the Fountain Street and Meachem Avenue neighborhood, 6:30 PM Saturday evening, when they heard multiple gunshots.

Two vehicles were seen fleeing from the area in opposite directions. Another vehicle with several occupants had pulled over and flagged down the officers and said that a male suspect fired multiple rounds into their vehicle.

Officers were able to stop one of the vehicles and apprehended one male occupant and handgun in the vehicle. Through investigation, a second suspect was located and taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
