Jeopardy! Host Alex Trebek Reveals He Has Stage 4 Cancer

Longtime game show host and current host of Jeopardy! Alex Trebek has announced that he has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The announcement, revealed through several media outlets, was made on Wednesday afternoon.

Trebek revealed in a YouTube video that he has been diagnosed. He says he learned of his condition this week, and plans to fight and continuing to host the program.

"Now normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working. And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease." - Alex Trebek

Jeopardy! airs on several television stations across Michigan and the United States. The show recently held in All-Star Tournament to celebrate 35 years on the air.
