Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes Into Home In Pennfield

A Battle Creek area man is in jail after an alleged drunk-driving crash late Wednesday night.

In a release, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says that their deputies were called to a crash in the 900 block of Capital Ave. NE, around 11pm Wednesday. At the scene, it was found that a car had collided with a home, causing structural damage.

The driver of the vehicle, a 55-year-old Pennfield Township man, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated.  No one was inside the home was injured due to the crash.
