Local authorities were searching a stretch of the Kalamazoo River once again overnight Friday, after a man reportedly jumped in.

WWMT reports that Emmett Township Public Safety Officers were called to the river near Beadle Lake Rd. Friday night into Saturday, because a man who had been arguing with his girlfriend had reportedly jumped off a bridge into the water.

The area around the bridge was searched some time by boat, before it was determined that the man had apparently gotten out of the river without any help, and without injury.

This incident happened just hours after a car crashed into the river in Battle Creek Friday morning; that crash left two dead. As well, authorities continue to search the river for a man who is believed to have crashed his car into the river March 6. His vehicle was recovered, but no body was found inside.

If you have any tips, please contact police or Silent Observer.
