Meet 80 artists from Kalamazoo and Southwest Michigan competing in Grand Rapids' Art Prize 2016.

Photographers, painters, sculptors, songwriters and artists in all mediums and forms are vying for a half a million dollars in prizes in Grand Rapids at Art Prize 2016.

This eighth incarnation of Art Prize exhibits work from 1,453 artists representing 44 countries around the world and 40 U.S. states. Of the contenders, 80 are from Kalamazoo and Southwest Michigan.
