A children's song and video that has collected over 3 billion views on YouTube over the last couple years will be the inspiration for a family event in Battle Creek later this month.

The Battle Creek Shopper says "Baby Shark" will be featured in two upcoming events at Willard Library. The first one is at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 24th and the second at 6:00 pm on Monday July 29th.

Along with leading the famous, and dangerously catchy song, a character in a Baby Shark costume will also give children a chance to learn some fun facts about about actual sharks. Organizers also say that some of the lyrics from the tune, which are about members of a family, will be used to create a bond with those family members in attendance. Such as mommy, daddy, grandma and grandpa. So they hope people can bring as many family members as the can, along with their children, for this unique learning experience.

And if you can't get enough "Baby Shark", there is another event you can consider attending this fall. 'Baby Shark Live' is coming to Detroit at the Fox Theater on Sunday, November 3rd, part of a first-ever North American tour.

"Baby Shark" has been a recent worldwide viral sensation, thanks to a video produced out of South Korea by the company Pinkfong in 2015. But versions of the song have actually has been around for a longtime, some believing it originated as a campfire song in the early 20th century.
