Battle Creek Area Domestic Violence Cases Jump 40 percent

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Jennifer Fopma, executive director at the Battle Creek-based Safe Place shelter tells The Richard Piet Show they're dealing with 40 percent more domestic violence cases over last year.

As well, Fopma says, that's after a similar increase the year before.
