Suspect On The Loose After Fatal Shooting In Battle Creek

An 18-year-old male was arrested Sunday by the Battle Creek Police Department related to the murder of Khari Davis. The incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the BCPD immediately.
A 22 year old Battle Creek man has died after being shot and a suspect is still at large. Battle Creek police report that after 7:00pm Tuesday evening, a man arrived at Bronson Battle Creek with an apparent gun shot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead shortly after. At about the same time, police were dispatched to calls of shots fired at Claude Evans Park. Once on the scene, officers located blood that appeared to be were the victim was shot.
The victim was identified as 22 year old Khari Davis of Battle Creek. Battle Creek Police say they received reports of numerous people being at Claude Evans Park at the time of the shooting and that those people left once the shooting occurred.
