Battle Creek Home Damaged in Fire

A home in Battle Creek was extensively damaged yesterday in a fire.  The fire was reported shortly after 2 in the morning in a house on Oneita Street.  Emergency workers kept the fire mostly contained to the basement, but smoke caused damage throughout the house, adding up to an estimated $30-thousand dollars.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
